About Us

Bob Harrison

Bob Harrison is one of the most accomplished and respected golf course architects working today, with a career spanning more than three decades. Before founding Harrison Golf in 2010, Bob was the Design Partner and lead designer for Greg Norman Golf Course Design across Australasia for over 21 years.

After excelling academically, he studied Physics and Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney, completing his final-year thesis on a combined golf and residential development in conjunction with Lend Lease. He then worked with Lend Lease for 11 years on golf-residential projects and commercial project management, developing a strong understanding of construction, cost control and complex site constraints.

Bob’s portfolio includes four World Top 100 courses, three of Australia’s Top 10, and twelve Australian Top 100 courses. Throughout his career, Bob has worked on a remarkable diversity of sites — from naturally dramatic coastal landscapes such as The National (Moonah) and Nirwana Bali, to flood-prone, flat or highly modified land including Sanctuary Lakes, Pelican Waters and The Glades.

But perhaps the most impressive of all is his recent design of Ardfin, located off the west coast of Scotland, which has already achieved a ranking in the World’s Top 100.

Scott Champion

Scott Champion is a highly experienced golf course and landscape architect with over 18 years in the industry. He began his career at Greg Norman Golf Course Design and has worked alongside Bob Harrison since the formation of Harrison Golf in 2010.

Scott is involved in all phases of a project, from initial concept design and masterplanning through to detailed documentation and hands-on design supervision during construction.

Scott was awarded a George Alexander Foundation Fellowship by the International Specialised Skills Institute, recognising his outstanding potential. This fellowship enabled an extensive research tour of Scotland and England, focusing on classic and contemporary golf architecture — particularly courses in coastal dune environments. The research culminated in the publication Golf Architecture: Reflections From a Tour of Great Britain.

Scott has also worked in local government as a Landscape Architect and Project Manager, contributing to open space infrastructure projects and development assessment teams. This experience provides valuable insight into planning approvals, regulatory processes and stakeholder engagement.

A committed contributor to the profession, Scott is a Full Member of the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects (SAGCA), sits on its Executive, and chairs the Editorial Committee for its annual journal, Golf Architecture. He regularly presents at industry conferences on topics including golf course development and course masterplanning.
